CONCORD – House Speaker William O'Brien (R-Mont Vernon) today released the following statement regarding the passage of HB 331. The bill, sponsored by State Rep. David Bates (R-Windham), would require state agencies to post expenditures every month including the amount, date of payment, and recipient.

Statement on HB 331
CONCORD – House Speaker William O'Brien (R-Mont Vernon) today released the following statement regarding the passage of HB 331. The bill, sponsored by State Rep. David Bates (R-Windham), would require state agencies to post expenditures every month including the amount, date of payment, and recipient.
“Ultimately, tax payers just want to know where their money is being spent and what their government is doing. We are committed to working toward a more open, efficient and transparent state government and passage of HB 331 is another step in the right direction.”
