Jim Bender is a New Hampshire business leader with extensive experience building businesses in the consumer and high tech world. As a Washington outsider and expert in technology, finance and economics, Jim will bring his private sector expertise and fresh outlook to the challenges facing New Hampshire. He will return jobs and economic growth to New Hampshire while he ensures that fiscal responsibility, good governance, and trust are returned to Washington.

Jim spent more than 25 years as a businessman and entrepreneur using his problem-solving and management skills to turn-around and expand underperforming businesses. He helped start a personal computers peripherals business, IDEA, which grew to more than $25 million in revenue within three years, and provided employment to hundreds. As president of Logicraft, a Nashua New Hampshire based network server company, Logicraft grew to employ hundreds of New Hampshire residents. Logicraft exported products worldwide, and was recognized three times by Inc Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America. Jim has repeatedly demonstrated a keen talent for quickly identifying and solving problems and for bringing new ideas and new energy to these companies. He knows what it takes to meet a payroll and keep a business healthy so it can grow and provide more and better jobs for workers and their families...

...The oldest of six children, Jim and his brothers and sisters all learned the importance of cooperation and hard work, Jim had his first paper route at eight years old, and through grade school and high school he worked in a butcher shop, as a stock boy, a janitor in a hospital, a cook, a lumberjack and as a construction worker. By his college years he had been a member of three labor unions. Jim knows a lot about what makes our country work, and the views, problems, and needs of our citizens.

...Jim has a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology from Lowell Technological Institute, and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
