Hi All,
 
Once again, the Barnstead-Alton Republican Committee (BARC) meeting will be held on the 2nd THURSDAY rather than the 2nd Tuesday of the month to avoid a conflict with the next Winnipesaukee Republican's bi-weekly meeting at the Wolfetrap Restaurant in Wolfeboro.  So our meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 13.  Please mark your calendars with this change of date.

This month’s discussion will focus on the New Hampshire GOP.  Looking back at the last couple of elections, and looking forward to November 2010, there are a lot of opinions about what’s best for our country, our state, and the GOP.  Leading the discussion will be our special guests, BJ Perry and Chris Sununu.  As the Field Manager of the NH GOP, BJ’s role involves meeting with local town GOP Committees all over New Hampshire to assist Governor Sununu in his efforts to unify the Party.  Chris, son of the NH GOP Chairman, is a Consultant with JHS Consultants and is a full time executive volunteer with the NH GOP.

  
In addition to BJ and Chris as our guest speakers,  our agenda also includes discussion about: 
  • The recent court decision declaring the use of the Joint Underwriters Association fund unconstitutional
  • Candidate Update for New Hampshire's state and federal races
  • Healthcare
BARC meetings continue to be somewhat informal and relaxed, offering the townspeople of Alton, Barnstead, and surrounding towns an opportunity to make new friends, to see "old" friends, to socialize, and to freely discuss your political views.  Our monthly meeting location, J.J. Goodwin's restaurant, prepares good food at a reasonable price, and offers a casual environment to hear about the Republican Party, to discuss issues and concerns such as the economy, pending legislation, etc., and to hear from your current and future elected officials.
