And you don't think that "outside NH" Dems aren't interested in NH?

Thanks to a conservative blogger out in Colorado, we see that the misguided (and time waster) attempt to have a resolution to have the NH Legislature agree to push for impeachment of the President and the Vice President:

Subject: [Jeffco] Please support this last effort to push the US House to hold Impeachment hearings
To: Jefferson County <Jeffco@groups.progressnowaction.org>

Please help support the effort by Rep. Betty Hall in the NH House to cause the US House of Representatives to hold Impeachment hearings.

All you need to do is copy the text below the dashed line and email it to the list I have typed  below.

The list is the entire membership of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.  HR-24 is a NH bill that will cause an order to be sent to their US Congressmen telling them to introduce and debate impeachment in the US House.

Failure to hold impeachment hearings will mean that the Bush/Cheney crimes against our Constitution and Separation Of Powers will become precedent and more likely to be used by rogue future Presidents.

This may be our last chance to have any meaningful accountability brought against the Bush/Cheney  Administration.  The sacrifices of our US soldiers  in Iraq will not have been made in vain if from this tragedy comes strengthened Congressional oversight on the power of the Executive Branch.  Only Impeachment will provide it.

Thanks for helping.

Good afternoon Representative;

I won't take up a lot of your time.

Please consider supporting HR-24.

The US House of Representatives cannot function as a true check on the power of any President (regardless of Party) if we allow  Bush and Cheney to continue to take away Congress's power to make laws and have them obeyed by the Executive Branch.

The Nation's options for holding the Bush/Cheney Administration accountable will probably end with the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

The resolution currently in the US House to impeach Cheney, H Res 333 (and H Res 799) now has more co-sponsors than any resolution to impeach Nixon ever had.

New Hampshire's  HR-24 can be the little push it will take to get the House Judiciary Committee and Sub-Committee On The Constitution to at least hold hearings.

The Bush/Cheney violations of the Constitution are much more serious than Nixon's and make holding public hearings mandatory.

A large majority of voters believe that Bush and Cheney have abused their powers.  Most of we voters can accept that an individual Congressman might after holding public impeachment hearings vote to not impeach anyone.

However we will be very angry if Congress fails to at least hold public impeachment hearings. For Congressmen to not defend the power of  Congress as a co-equal branch of the Federal Government is just plain stupid, and a violation of their oath of office.

A failure to hold hearings will affect the results of the November national election,  damage the Separation Of Powers  and increase Presidential disrespect for our Constitution and Congress.

Thank you for considering this nationally important resolution, HR-24.

Impeachment for the right reasons, protecting the Constitution and  the Separation Of Powers is a non-partisan act.

"If the impeachment provision in the Constitution of the United States will not reach the offenses charged here, then perhaps that eighteenth century Constitution should be abandoned to a twentieth century papershredder."  Representative Barbara Jordan (July 25, 1974)

George W Bush is reputed to have said

"It's just a goddamned piece of paper".

YOU BE THE JUDGE
Indeed, you be the Judge - we expect that our GOP legislators will fight this amendment
